Connections

Art, anywhere — for inspiration, connection, and wellbeing

Our Mission
Expand access to museum-quality art by bringing engaging art experiences to audiences beyond traditional museum spaces.
Reimagine how art is experienced through thoughtfully curated installations that invite engagement and presence.
Position art as an everyday resource for inspiration and wellbeing.
Why It Matters
While art holds the power to inspire and connect, access to meaningful visual art experiences remains uneven. Many communities do not have access to visual art, and many audiences feel distanced from traditional museum spaces. Rethinking how art is shared and experienced is essential to keeping culture open, relevant, and part of everyday life.

What We Do

Access Beyond Musuems
With our portable digital gallery, we bring museum-quality artworks to diverse locations, reaching communities with limited access to cultural spaces and those who feel disconnected from traditional museum environments.

Engaging Art Experiences
Through thoughtful sequencing and sensory design, we create art experiences that transform artworks into immersive and engaging art encounters, inviting presence, emotional resonance, and personal connection.

Innovative Art Presentation
Our compact, portable digital gallery is adaptable for various spaces. Using projection and lightweight equipment, we reshape how art is shared, experienced, and felt.

Emotionally Informed Curation
Our curatorial approach integrates insights from wellbeing research and neuroaesthetics, enabling moments of calm, reflection, and inspiration in everyday art encounters.

Who We Are
ArtMind Connections was created from the belief that art should be part of everyday life, not confined to specific places or audiences. Guided by this belief, we bring museum-quality art into everyday spaces through innovative presentation, designing visual experiences that deepen engagement with art and support wellbeing through research-grounded curation.

Positioned at the intersection of visual art, wellbeing research, and digital design, ArtMind Connections develops curatorial practices attentive to perception, emotion, and meaning. Rather than focusing solely on visual impact, the project is designed to invite resonance and inner engagement. Informed by research in art and wellbeing, we create experiences that are accessible, intentionally curated, and deeply human.

Vaiva is the founder and Artistic Director of ArtMind Connections. A lifelong art enthusiast, she has experienced the benefits of art first-hand both as an artist and an avid art viewer, and has set out on a mission to make art and its benefits accessible to all.
Her background spans project and regulatory change management within the financial sector, combined with advanced studies in business and change (MBA from EDHEC and an Executive Master in Change at INSEAD).
Alongside this, her academic research thesis explores how visual art supports emotional and psychological wellbeing in everyday life, integrating affective theory frameworks with lived experiences and qualitative insight.

Our
Methodology
ArtMind Connections is grounded in an interdisciplinary approach that brings together art, psychology, and emotional experience. The project explores how encounters with visual art can support reflection, emotional awareness, and psychological wellbeing in everyday life, outside formal therapeutic settings. By integrating insights from art and neuroaesthetics, psychoanalytical thought, and affective theory, the methodology seeks to understand not only what people feel when engaging with art, but how and why these experiences matter.
The diagram illustrates how these three perspectives intersect to create meaningful, emotionally resonant art experiences. At their centre lies the project’s core impact: art as a subtle yet powerful companion for inner exploration and wellbeing.

Through carefully curated visual experiences, art may offer symbolic containment, emotional resonance, and moments of inner coherence. In this way, art functions as a quiet yet potent companion, bridging aesthetic experience and inner life beyond formal therapeutic frameworks.

ArtMind Connections draws on psychoanalytical perspectives as interpretative lenses, not as therapeutic or diagnostic tools. These frameworks are used to better understand how art may naturally support reflection, emotional awareness, and inner coherence during everyday art encounters.
1. Art &
Neuroaesthetics
2. Psychoanalytical Frameworks
3. Affective Theory &
Emotional Experience
1. Art & Neuroaesthetics explores how visual art engages perceptual, emotional, and cognitive processes through form, colour, rhythm, and composition. Aesthetic encounters can evoke emotional responses that shape mood, attention, and openness, forming the foundation for reflection and meaning making.

2. From a psychoanalytical perspective, concepts such as symbolic expression, active imagination, and the holding or transitional space help explain how art can support inner reflection and emotional processing in a self-directed, non-clinical way.

3. Affective Theory & Emotional Experience focuses on how art can evoke affective states that foster emotional attunement, presence, and self-connection, supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing.

The Impact
At the intersection of these dimensions lies the project’s central impact: the creation of meaningful art encounters that support emotional awareness, insight, and psychological wellbeing in everyday life.

Our Flagship Project
Access to Art and Its Benefits for All

Overview: Our flagship project is an immersive digital exhibition designed to travel across Europe, bringing high-quality visual art to communities beyond museums and established cultural hubs. Through carefully paced curatorial sequencing, sound design, and spatial composition, the experience invites viewers into a calm, connecting and inspiring encounter with art that unfolds gradually rather than overwhelming the senses. Each installation is designed to be accessible, inclusive, and adaptable to different audiences and spatial contexts. ArtMind Connections works closely with cultural venues, municipalities, and institutional partners to adapt each installation to its local context while maintaining artistic and methodological coherence.

The Exhibition Combines:

-
Licensed, high-resolution digital reproductions of selected artworks
-
Immersive audiovisual design that enhances atmosphere and emotional pacing
-
Thoughtful curatorial sequencing guided by emotional and symbolic progression
-
A flexible, modular technical setup adaptable to diverse cultural venues

Curatorial and Emotional Approach: Artworks are selected and sequenced in alignment with ArtMind Connections’ interdisciplinary methodology, with particular attention to emotional tone, symbolic richness, and affective resonance. The curatorial logic focuses on how visual elements — such as colour, form, rhythm, and thematic content — may subtly shape emotional experience and openness. Rather than prescribing interpretation, the exhibition creates conditions in which viewers may engage with artworks in a personal, reflective, and emotionally responsive way.
Methodological and Research Foundations: The exhibition is guided by ArtMind Connections’ interdisciplinary methodology, which integrates insights from art and neuroaesthetics, psychoanalytical perspectives, and affective theory to create emotionally resonant and reflective art experiences. For a deeper explanation of this framework and how it informs curatorial decisions, see our Methodology page.

The Exhibition Is Developed in Collaboration With:
-
A Paris-based design studio responsible for spatial and visual concept development
-
An audiovisual technical partner based in Warsaw, Poland
-
Curatorial guidance is provided by a professional art curator, ensuring coherence, narrative flow, and conceptual integrity across the exhibition.
